Right out of the gate, one distinct advantage to using dreamwdith is that this site is not blocked via the school's firewalls. Therefore, you can all be privvy to my thoughts about teaching much closer to the actual time that I am having them.

I haven't made a final decision on whether or not to pull the plug on my LJ. I'm going to poke around here a bit before doing anything drastic. Meanwhile, hello, live from the teachers' lounge.
